Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour demo, which launched shortly after Sony’s E3 Press Conference, has been downloaded over 2 Million times in just seven days.
The game has received a lot of attention since it’s reveal on June 13th, when Sony announced that Resident Evil 7 Biohazard would be a Playstation VR compatible title. Shortly after this, the demo was released onto the Playstation Store, where it was downloaded over 2 Million times within it’s first seven days, despite being an exclusive to Playstation Plus subscribers.
Capcom states in an email sent out to the press:
We would like to thank all our fans for the feedback and support – the nail-biting exploration and terrifying atmosphere in the demo is just a taste of what can be expected when the game releases on January 24, 2017.
There is currently no information available regarding the demo’s availability on other platforms. We have reached out to Capcom to see if the demo will be available on other platforms.
Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will be released for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on January 24th, 2017
