In their latest weekly blog post, Halo 5 developer 343 Industries has confirmed that there will be no more monthly updates to the game, ending the routine game expansion releases that have kept the game consistently fresh since release.
This doesn’t mean content will completely stop rolling out though, just that it will be coming more infrequently, and in smaller patches as opposed to massive updates like some of the more recent Halo 5 expansions. To quote 343 Industries employee Andy Dudynsky: “While you wonât be seeing updates every month moving forward, nor updates the size of the Warzone Firefight release, weâre happy to let you know that thereâs still more on the way. Things we have yet to talk about or discuss. Things that I have seen, and I think you will like. These and more are in the works, so in short, there is indeed more to come. Rest easy.”
So while this does spell the end of the weekly updates, players of Halo 5 can definitely expect some exciting new content, just at a slower pace.
