ATGames is teaming up with SEGA to re-release the SEGA Mega Drive in console and handheld forms.
Hot off the heels of the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition announcement is SEGA’s attempt at stealing the show. Things will definitely seem like the 90’s again, what with SEGA and Nintendo both releasing their classic consoles with a library of pre-loaded video games.
The SEGA Mega Drive Classic Game Console will include two wireless controllers and all of the cables required to play. One thing that sets this game console apart from the NES Classic Edition is that has slots for original SEGA Mega Drive cartridges. This allows gamer’s to achieve the authentic feel of owning a SEGA Mega Drive.
The SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Portable Game Player will be released alongside the console. The handheld will feature a built-in rechargeable battery and an SD card slot to help expand a player’s collection.
Both the SEGA Mega Drive Classic Game Console and Ultimate Portable Game Player will include the following 80 pre-loading video games:
