Playtonic Games has begun distributing demo codes for those who have backed Yooka-Laylee on Kickstarter last year.
Fans who pledged £20 or more towards the game’s Kickstarter will be receiving their download code at some point today. The demo gives players access to the Toybox in Yooka-Laylee; a test environment to get used to the controls and mechanics that will be presented in the full retail game.
“Our intention with the Toybox is to offer our loyal backers the chance to be the first people outside Playtonic to try out Yooka-Laylee’s core mechanics, and we’ll also be gathering your feedback on stuff like controls, cameras and movement.”
It is worth noting that the demo will only be available for download on PC (via Steam) and is not currently available for console owners.
Yooka-Laylee will be released in Spring 2017.
