Remakes of Yakuza 2, Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 were teased by the series producer Toshiro Nagoshi.
Nagoshi revealed during a livestream that the team has been considering producing remakes of Yakuza 2 through Yakuza 5. This is due to the recent success of Yakuza: Kiwami in Japan and Asia, which has sold well, selling over half a million units in Japan and Asia.
The original Yakuza and Yakuza 2 titles already have remastered titles released for the Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii U. Assuming this would happen, we expect to see the new Yakuza titles being released on the Playstation 4 with the ‘remastered’ treatment.
Yakuza 0 will release in North America on January 24th, 2017.
