Bungie has officially unveiled the curtains on Destiny: The Collection.
The collection will include the Destiny base game, along with The House of Wolves, The Dark Below, The Taken King and of course, the upcoming Rise of Iron expansion. Bungie and Activision have released an official trailer announcing the collection:
Fans who pre-order the collection will receive the Iron Gjallarhorn, the current pre-order bonus for Destiny: The Rise of Iron. In addition, fans who pre-order Destiny: The Collection will receive the Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow, an exclusive to fans who pre-order this bundle. While this collection is only available for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, players still enjoying the game on last-generation consoles such as the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 will miss out on the newest expansion.
While this collection is only available for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, players still enjoying the game on last-generation consoles such as the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 will miss out on the newest expansion. Due to this, Bungie will be offering the game to fans who wish to upgrade their copies of Destiny: The Taken King in the same console family (eg. Playstation 3 gamers can upgrade to Playstation 4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One) for $39.99. Otherwise, the game will be retailing for $59.99 for newcomers to Destiny.
The game was originally outed by Amazon, stating that the game would be arriving on August 18th. At that time, there was no information regarding what the game will include and if it will indeed include a copy of Destiny: Rise of Iron.
Destiny: The Collection will launch alongside Destiny: Rise of Iron on September 20th for the Xbox One and Playstation 4.
