Konami has announced a new game titled Metal Gear Survive, a brand-new four-player co-op survival title.
Metal Gear Survive will take place in an alternate universe, immediately after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. While Snake, Big Boss, and other familiar characters make an appearance in the trailer below, it is unclear if they will make an appearance in the Metal Gear Survive.
The enemies shown in the trailer are classified as “Biological Threats.” These threats act like zombies and range from single-soldier types to massive targets, such as the Metal Gear that you can hear at the end of the cinematic trailer.
This will be the first game produced without the help of the series creator, Hideo Kojima. Kojima has since moved on to develop Death Stranding with his company, Kojima Productions, however, we have not heard more information about the game since it’s announcement at E3 2016. We have a great article which speaks about what Death Stranding will be.
Metal Gear Survive will be released on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017.
