An open beta for the sequel of Dragon Ball Xenoverse will launch in the coming weeks.
At the time of this writing, we have no information on what the open beta will contain. Other than the first glimpse of gameplay, we could see the arrival of newly announced characters, such as Majin Vegeta.
Those unfamiliar with the history of the Dragon Ball series, Vegeta was transformed into Majin Vegeta during the “Buu” saga. Once transformed, all of Vegeta’s power was significantly increased – as the transformation focused on the evil found within Vegeta’s soul. This was caused by the evil wizard Babidi, who was also responsible for creating the super-creature Buu.
To pair with these announcements, Bandai Namco also revealed an Expert Mission Multiplayer mode. This brand new mode will team up six different players as they fight to take down NPC bosses, such as the Saiyan’s great ape forms. We haven’t heard too many details surrounding this mechanic, but we hope to see more information during the game’s open beta.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will release on October 25th, 2016.
