Nintendo has announced and released a New Nintendo 3DS XL with a very beautiful Galaxy theme earlier today.
The device will be available in participating retailers for an MSRP of $199.99 USD; The same price as a standard New Nintendo 3DS XL. The unit is currently pre-orderable through Gamestop and Amazon in the United States with no confirmation on when the unit will be available in Canadian stores. We have reached out to Nintendo of Canada for more information regarding Canadian availability.
“This is the new galaxy style of the New Nintendo 3DS XL. It has all the same great features you know and love.” President of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime said in an announcement video. “I wanted to make sure everyone could get their hands on one as soon as possible. We are shipping these beauties today. So, you should be able to find them in your local stores starting this week.”
Unfortunately, the new galaxy style is only available in a New Nintendo 3DS XL variant, with no word on whether we will see a faceplate released for the standard New Nintendo 3DS.
