Capcom has released a brand new trailer for Resident Evil VII which encapsulates the hair-raising atmosphere of the game.
The new trailer details parts of the story, which tells of the game’s main protagonist Ethan, who is in search of his wife after a strange disappearance. His travels lead him to Dulvey, Louisiana where we run into a psychotic family known as The Bakers. The group is extremely resilient to fire-power, as seen in the trailer, where they survive point-blank pistol shots and explosions – which will prove to be a tough challenge when the game launches next year.
In a disturbing amount of twists, the new trailer proudly boasts a mix of frightening images such as beings walking through walls and a dinner party featuring cannibals. Those weak of heart will want to refrain from watching the trailer posted after the break.
Upon release, Resident Evil VII will support resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 thanks to the Playstation 4 Pro launching on November 10th, 2016. The game will also contain a unique mode for Playstation VR, which may contain different content entirely designed with VR in mind.
Resident Evil VII will be available on January 24th, 2017 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
