A leaked release date for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild amiibo may have leaked the official release date for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – and in turn, the Nintendo NX.
This information was listed in the source code of several Nintendo of Europe websites, including the Nintendo French website. According to the code, the new Breath of the Wild amiibo is scheduled to launch on April 3rd, 2017.
As we know, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is scheduled to launch alongside the amiibo, which could mean that the full retail game is also scheduled to launch on April 3rd, 2016. Furthermore, the new Zelda game and amiibo are both compatible with the Nintendo NX. We speculate that this could be a well-known sign that the game will become a launch title for the Nintendo NX. If true, the Nintendo NX, Breath of the Wild, and it’s related amiibo could be launching on April 3rd, 2017.
We have reached out to Nintendo for official word, but as this information hasn’t been officially announced, Nintendo will likely send back a generic PR comment. Stay tuned for an official response.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available for the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo NX in 2017.
