We knew it wouldn’t be long, but now Microsoft has taken the Nintendo 64 emulator Win64e10 off the official Xbox Games Store.
Yesterday, the emulator went live on the Xbox One, giving players the opportunity to play Nintendo 64 games on the Xbox One. Those who managed to purchase the app during it’s Xbox One availability can reportedly still use the application, despite it being taken offline on the Xbox Games Store.
If you were one of the unlucky saps that missed the emulator, you need not worry. The application, according to hundreds of user reviews, runs sluggish on the Xbox One, with games running at 5 to 10 frames per second. Clearly, the application is in need of some optimization, however, with it now being pulled off the Xbox One, it is doubtful we will see updates rolled out.
Win64e10 is currently available for Windows 10 and Windows Phone.
