Update: Hello Games updated their Twitter mentioning they were hacked. The tweet stating that “No Man’s Sky was a mistake” was removed and the company clarified what happened.

Original: The developer behind No Man’s Sky made a tweet earlier today stating that the game was a mistake.
The tweet in question has since been taken down, with the @HelloGames Twitter account marked as private. At this time, there is no information on whether or not the tweet was made in error or if the Twitter account is compromised, but the internet caught wind of the tweet, and it has been circulating on social media since this morning.
It is widely known that No Man’s Sky didn’t lead off to expectations. Ever since the initial reveal in 2013, fans have been anticipating this over-ambitious title, and after several delays, No Man’s Sky officially launched in June 2016. Many have expressed their disappointment in No Man’s Sky, as the final game didn’t represent everything that the developer initially promised.
No Man’s Sky is available for the Playstation 4 and PC.
