Bethesda is still hard at work in developing a Virtual Reality add-on for Fallout 4.
In an interview with Glixel, Todd Howard spoke about Fallout 4 in Virtual Reality, something not talked about since Bethesda’s E3 Press Conference this past June. He mentions that the team is still trying hard to get the entirety of Fallout 4 retrofitted for a Virtual Reality experience.
“We definitely are. That’s the promise of VR, being in a big virtual world. The core experience, meaning you put on the headset and you’re standing in the world of Fallout and can go where you want, just that little bit is every bit as cool as you hope it would be. Once we did that, we were like, ‘OK, we gotta see where this goes.’” said Todd Howard.
Of course, Virtual Reality, at least on the PC hasn’t been doing too hot. Sales of the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift have taken a steep drop, but Bethesda isn’t too concerned. “We’re not so worried about how many we’re going to sell or what the market is,” Howard said. “That will all sort itself out.”
Fallout 4 is available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
