Capcom unveiled the Resident Evil 7 Collector’s Edition, which includes a model mansion replica for fans of the game.
Fans who shell out for the Resident Evil 7 Collector’s Edition will receive a copy of the game, enclosed in a metal case, a 4GB USB Drive resembling a dismembered finger, a VHS “tape-themed” box, lithograph, and a note from “one of the mansion’s residents.” This is in addition to the 8″ tall mansion which doubles as a music box. The collector’s edition will retail for $179.99 USD and appears to be exclusive to Gamestop.
The collector’s edition is designed by Triforce, a company responsible for delivering high-quality video game themed collector’s items. More recently, they produced the Gears of War 4 Collector’s Edition featuring J.D. Fenix on a COG bike.
Resident Evil 7 will ship with the optional Playstation VR mode, containing support for Sony’s virtual reality headset. At the time of this writing, there is no information on whether or not this VR mode will be brought to the PC for use on the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive.
Resident Evil 7 arrives on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on January 24th, 2017.
