Nintendo’s latest AAA titles, Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon, have sold more than 3.7 Million copies since they released on November 18th.
Both titles have now sold more than 3.7 million in under two weeks, setting the bar for the fastest selling Nintendo title in North America. The previous record was established by Pokemon X and Pokemon Y in 2013, selling nearly 2 million copies in the same timeframe.
With this, the Pokemon franchise has gone on to sell more than 280 Million copies worldwide since the release of Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue in 1996. The press release reminds gamers that they can purchase Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Red, and Pokemon Blue off the Nintendo e-shop, with compatibility launching for Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon via the Pokemon Bank early next year.
Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon is available for the Nintendo 3DS system family.
