If you purchase a copy of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and play it between it’s launch on August 25th to the end of 2015, you will net yourself a free copy of Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 & Gears of War: Judgement for free.
This announcement comes from the news that these games will also become backwards compatible for the Xbox One sometime this fall, making the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition a perfect game for the typical Gears of War fan. It should also be worth noting that if you are a member of the Xbox Preview Program and own a copy of the original Gears of War game, you can start playing it on your Xbox One starting today.
Keep in mind that the Gears of War 4 beta comes included with your copy of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition when the beta launches in the Spring of next year.
