The legendary video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto joined The Roots to perform the Super Mario Bros. Theme.
Miyamoto picked up the acoustic guitar and started playing the Super Mario Bros. Theme with the members of The Roots, the band featured on the Tonight Show. It appears that Miyamoto had a great time playing with the others, and Jimmy Fallon even makes an appearance, hitting a “?” block with his fist a few times in the middle of the segment.
The executives of Nintendo were on the tonight show last night to showcase Super Mario Run, a game releasing next week for iOS devices. Reggie Fils-Aime then unveiled the Nintendo Switch in front of talk-show host Jimmy Fallon and proceeded to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the console, the first time the game has been shown running on the Nintendo Switch.
Super Mario Run releases for iOS devices on December 15th, 2016. The Nintendo Switch arrives on store shelves in March 2017.
