Today Square Enix and Marvel Entertainment announced a multi-game collaboration taking place in the Avengers Universe. One of the only things we know about today’s announcement is it’s going to be a massive project. That’s because Square Enix has contracted names such as Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamic for the project.
The names of the teams involved speak toward the scope of the project, and potentially the type of gameplay we’ll see, because Eidos and Crystal Dynamic tend to lean toward story-driven action adventure games. Eidos Montreal is best known for Deus Ex and Thief and Crystal Dynamics is best known for the new Tomb Raider franchise.
The announcement came through a trailer (above) and also shows gamers will need to reassemble the team, as the Avengers are literally in shambles. We will update you as more information is released.
