The sequel of Monolith Productions’ Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor has leaked from the giant retailer Target, who posted a picture of the game’s box art along with the new title.
The game appears to be in development for the Xbox One and Playstation 4, with listings on Target showing box art for both platforms. Also, a gold edition is also planned to launch alongside the game, which includes multiple downloadable content packs and a “Gold War Chest” containing exclusive items. The Gold Edition will retail for $99.99, $40 more than the base game. Pictures of the leak were uncovered on Twitter yesterday morning:
Reception for Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor was great, with the game averaging a Metacritic score of 84 at the time of this writing. Also, Mordor won several “Game of the Year” awards from multiple media outlets, so a sequel to the game can bode well for the publisher WB Games. A formal announcement of Middle-Earth Shadow of War is expected next week. Monolith Productions nor WB Games have yet to make a comment regarding the leaks.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War has not been officially announced, but if true, is in development for the Xbox One and Playstation 4.
