Telltale Games is showing our first look at their upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy game during SXSW.
On March 17th, Telltale Games is allowing audience members to crowd play the game’s first episode, using their own mobile devices to influence the decisions in the playthrough. This will be the first time we get a glimpse of the gameplay, as we have only heard of the game’s announcement before today.
Additionally, those in attendance at PAX East can visit their panel on March 10th at 6 PM, where the team will speak about the creative process behind the game. Alternatively, people not attending PAX East this weekend can view a live-stream of the panel on Twitch.
Telltale also announced the cast for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. While it won’t consist of any of the cast members from the film adaptation, Scott Porter, Emily O’Brien, Brandon Paul Eells, and Adam Harrington, known for other video games, will be lending their voices to the game. Best Performance winner Nolan North will also be in the cast, voicing Rocket Raccoon. An impressive cast with an impressive universe should make for a compelling experience.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series releases in Spring 2017 for most gaming platforms.
