Pre-orders for the Xbox One X will go live immediately after the Xbox press event at Gamescom 2017 this Sunday.
The information comes from a tweet from Tom Warren, a Senior Editor for the Verge, who says “Xbox One X pre-orders will go live on Sunday after the Gamescom press event“. At the time of this writing, it is not yet known if we will see an announcement of Xbox One X game bundles, but we expect to hear more during Gamescom this weekend.
While the console itself supports playing games in a native 4K resolution, Microsoft will not bribe consumers into purchasing the console if they already own an Xbox One or Xbox One S. All games and accessories were announced to be playable across the Xbox One system family, meaning gamers don’t need to shell out the $599.99 CDN to continue playing their favorite games on the platform.
The Xbox One X is scheduled to launch on November 7th, 2017.
