A new upcoming platformer named EarthNight has received a release date courtesy of Cleaversoft. Previously shown and featured in Nintendo’s Indie World presentation, the game is finally making a move to various console platforms very soon.
In EarthNight you play as Stanley and Sydney, as they aim to save humanity from dragons. The game features over 10,000 hand-drawn frames of animation and a beautiful soundtrack that fuses Game Boy chiptunes and modern instrumentation.
Both characters have very different approaches to slaying dragons. Stanley’s legs allow him to make high jumps and long leaps, which are extremely useful abilities in a platformer. Sydney on the other hand focuses on agility. She is able to air dash and double jump, both of which are great for escaping or attacking foes. Each level features levels with multiple exists and secret rewards. Dragon eggs and other objects can also be obtained by slaying dragons.
“EarthNight represents seven years of hard work from a collective of talented artists and the final product is something we’re immensely proud to share with everyone.”
“We hope that Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam players are as excited to hurtle back to Earth and slay dragons as we are to watch them.” -Rich Siegel, founder of Cleaversoft.
EarthNight releases December 3rd, 2019 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC.
You can find more information about the game on the Official Cleaversoft Website.
