AI teammates are coming back in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The open world online tactical shooter Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is including the return of AI teammates in the latest update, following them not being available at launch.
After you unlock the first area of the game, you will gain access to your new teammates, which act as other players when you don’t have any online friends.
Let’s go over your new AI allies and their roles:
Fury: A master at close quarters combat with her many, MANY knives in her collection. Along with her training in boxing and jujitsu, she also comes with her starting guns, the Vector .45 ACP as her primary and a P320 (M17 model) as her secondary. She prefers silent takedowns over being loud and bold.
Vasily: The sneaky silent sniper of the team, who comes packing with a Scorpio TCT sniper rifle, and a P320 as backup. He always has your back, even if you never see or hear him over the comms. As the youngest member of the team, he has less experience and he feels like he needs to prove himself.
Fixit: The technical wiz of the team, as well as the heavy weapons guy. His childhood consisted of working with his dad at his auto repair shop, so he now spends all his time fixing equipment. He comes packing with a Stoner ‘Compact’ light machine gun and the common P320 side arm.
This is only their starting equipment though. You can change their loadout with the blueprints of any weapons you have (with the exception of the Grenade Launcher), meaning their roles can be changed to whatever you need. Want Fury to have a shotgun? She can.
Customising the team doesn’t just mean the weapons, it means the character’s appearances too. As the leader of the team you control every single action of your team, as you give them commands ranging from holding down points to regrouping.
They also will revive you should you go down in the middle of combat, but only after they clear the area of enemies. However in order for you to revive them, you need to be in the Field Medic class and you can only revive one teammate.
This is not the only thing in the update, as there’s also been a few improvements in some of the swimming animations that wouldn’t play correctly, along with various UI issues fixed and some weapons balanced.
Even new weapons will be added to the shop, including the Echelon SMG and Maxim 9. There’s even attachments from muzzle breaks, to scopes and many more.
The update will drop July 15th ,2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. You can check out our review for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint here.
