AVerMedia Technologies announced three new capture cards this morning: The Live Gamer 4K, Live Gamer Ultra, and the Live Gamer EXTREME 2.
The Live Gamer 4K is an internal PCI Express capture device, utilizing current PC hardware to power it. This device is capable of recording 4K HDR gameplay at 60 frames-per-second, providing consumers have a computer that can support it. The card is also capable of recording 1440p footage at 120 frames-per-second and 1080p footage at an astounding 240 frames per second.
The Live Gamer ULTRA is for those who want to lighten the load on their PC, as this card features an onboard video processor. Like the Live Gamer 4K, the card is capable of recording 4K HDR gameplay, as well as 1440p and 1080p footage, minus the same support for frames-per-second. At 4K, the card will record at 30 frames per second, while 1440p and 1080p resolutions support 60 and 120 frames respectively. This option is appealing to those who own a gaming laptop and want to record footage on the go, something we have done in the past for event coverage.
Additionally, AVerMedia is providing an option for gamers on a budget, who still want that 1080p, 60 frames-per-second goodness.
