Update: The source appears to have claimed that Axion Verge is being looked into and didn’t confirm that it is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Keep an eye on InformedPixel for more news in the coming weeks.
Original: The platformer, Axiom Verge, developed by Tom Happ, is coming to the Nintendo Switch in digital and physical formats.
In an interview with World 1-1 Podcast, Happ confirmed that the game is in development for Nintendo’s newest console, and, for the first time, will receive a physical release on the Nintendo Switch. Fans of Nintendo’s Metroid series should feel right at home with Axiom Verge as it takes 2D-Platforming back to its roots. If you have yet to play it, the game is available for multiple platforms today.
Not much is known about the release date for the Switch version, but we do know that the physical game will include a manual, documentary about the game’s development and the game’s soundtrack.
Axiom Verge is available for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation Vita, Nintendo Wii U, and PC.
