Bandai Namco has announced their lineup for this year’s Gamescom, which will be held in Cologne, Germany, from August 18th to 21st. In addition to their various stage events, such as competitions, tournaments, signing sessions, and lotteries, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Tekken 7 will be playable.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 features the largest, most detailed Dragon Ball world in the franchise’s history. Players can meet the popular anime characters and become part of the story for themselves. The playable demo will feature thrilling fights and a huge new hub city to explore.
Tekken 7, the best looking Tekken yet, will have “near photo-realistic graphics”, according to Hervé Hoerdt, Bandai Namco’s VP of IP Strategy, Marketing, and PR. This epic climax to the Mishima feud (and to the series’ signature fierce duels) will launch in early 2017. If you want to get in on your first chance to experience this next installment in the legendary fighting game series before then, don’t forget to book your flights to Cologne right away.
Most excitingly, Bandai Namco will be revealing a brand new IP, reportedly geared for a “western audience.” Nothing else has been officially stated, but new games are good things, right? So let’s cross our fingers.
