DICE announced that Battlefield V will be receiving an Open Beta in September.
Players who have either pre-ordered the game, have an active EA Access subsciption, are an Origin Access Premier or are Origin Access Basic members, can play the early access version of the beta from September 4th. All other players will have access to the beta starting on September 6th on Origin for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The open beta will allow players to play Conquest mode on the map “Rotterdam”, as well as Conquest and Grand Operations on the Arctic Fjord map. Recently revealed, the Rotterdam map allows players to be involved in a battle fought within the streets of Holland, in which the game’s dynamic physicality and destruction will be on full display.
The conquest game mode allows up to 64 players to fight for and control key locations throughout the massive multiplayer maps, using the new fortifications, towable weaponry and squad reinforcement system to win the match. New to the Battlefield franchise is the new mode Grand Operations. This mode is a multiplayer experience across multiple different maps and gamemodes that takes the player through a narrative journey inspired by actual historical events. All Gamescom attendees will be able to view all the new Open Beta content on the show floor. If you’re not at Gamescom don’t worry because the Open Beta is just around the corner.
Battlefield V will be available on October 19th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (Via Origin). Origin Access Premier members will have full game access on October 11th.
