2kGames have announced Bioshock: The Collection, featuring all of the Bioshock titles set to be released on September 13th, 2016\
This collection will contain Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock: Infinite remastered in 1080P and at 60 frames per second. This will mark Bioshock’s first appearance on the Xbox One and Playstation 4 as all of the titles were previously released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. 2K mentions that the PC version of Bioshock: The Collection will contain Bioshock: Infinite, however it will not be remastered as it “already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings”.
The original Bioshock title will include the Challenge Rooms featured in the Playstation 3 version of the game. Also included is a director’s commentary video series titled “Imagine Bioshock” and the Museum of Orphaned Concepts gallery, which is a in-game museum showcasing a behind-the-scenes look at discarded game assets that never made it into the final version.
Bioshock 2 and Bioshock: Infinite won’t contain too much of a surprise, besides most of the downloadable content released throughout the lifetime of these titles. It is worth noting that Bioshock 2’s multiplayer features have been scraped for this collection, however the reason for this is unknown.
Bioshock: The Collection will be released for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on September 13th, 2016.
