The hit Japanese mobile game BLADE XLORD has finally launched in the US and Canada on iOS and Android. BLADE XLORD is a story driven RPG that centres around hero collecting. It was developed by Applibot and features key developers from Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger & Star Ocean. It already has more than 10 million downloads in Japan.
BLADE XLORD follows heroes Ryde and Meryl in a thrilling adventure to rebuild their homeland, after being exiled by the evil Quo Vadis and his plague of fierce monsters. With a roster of 32 characters and 64 weapons, players will be able to assemble a massive army and take on their enemies, which will include 18 ferocious bosses at at launch.
The game is designed to be accessible for everybody. In order to achieve this goal, there are many different gameplay options. The first gives players full precise control of their characters with the ability to shift between opponents. They also have the freedom to move about the battlefield, or use an incredibly fun and relaxing auto-battle mode.
BLADE XLORD features intense gameplay which take place in beautifully detailed 3D worlds, with just as detailed characters. This intense gameplay is highlighted when players take part in intense competitive ranking events, in which players battle with rival parties. The goal is to defeat enemies in order to get into the top 10 worldwide. If a player manages such a feat, they will be given the title of the mighty “Decaknight”.
Luckily for players who don’t have the time to play all day, BLADE XLORD also includes a helpful idle-mode, which allows players to setup an auto-loop. This will allow the player to replay already completed levels using characters in their party. This process is repeated until failure, or if a set time limit is reached. There is also a low power mode for this option, allowing maximum XP gains while on the go.
“BLADE XLORD’s goal is to provide something for everyone: an emotional high fantasy story for RPG fans, idle options for the busiest among us, and challenges for our most competitive players,” said Kazunari Ebihara, Producer (Overseas Markets), Applibot. “Our Japanese fans have enjoyed this combination, and we are confident our new fans in the United States and Canada will become hooked as well.”
BLADE XLORD is now available as a free download on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android, with English language text support and Japanese voice acting. For more information, you can visit the official BLADE XLORD website, follow the game on Twitter, and like the official Facebook page.
