Most gamers should know Devolver Digital‘s name as they are one of the biggest publishing names in Indie gaming. They have recently partnered up with developer Ronimo Games, known for Awesomenauts, to bring gamers a multiplayer dungeon crawling game called Blightbound.
On July 29th, 2021, the game was announced that Blightbound has been released on many major platforms and has given some details on the game itself. So let’s dive right into it!
O’ Brave World
After the defeat of the Shadow Titan, the world is covered in Blight. Now monsters roam the land. On a mountaintop sanctuary untouched by the Blight lies heroes who travel down to face these monsters.
These heroes make up three classes that you can choose from. Between Warrior, Assassin, and Mage, you will have to work together to beat these monsters and save other heroes! Saved heroes can be playable once you have recruited them.
There will be 20 heroes to play within the game that players can customize to the player’s playstyle. In addition, depending on the player’s difficulty, there will be loot that the player will receive that they can add to their heroes.
These items can either strengthen their heroes or change their abilities, and because there are over 200 items, player’s have a lot of choices.
For those looking to play Blightbound, it is available on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC via Steam for $19.99. That said, it is on sale right now on Xbox and Steam for $15.99! For those wondering, the game will have couch co-op, online co-op, and a combination of the two if players are looking to play with others.
