Ion Hazzikostas, game director for Blizzard’s World of Warcraft is delivering the opening “Storytime” keynote at this year’s PAX West.
Those familiar with Hazzikostas will know him as “Watcher“. Before he was promoted to the game’s director in 2016, he worked on numerous features in the “Wrath of the Lich King“‘s expansion including raids, character balancing and the achievement system. He is now working on delivering the “Battle for Azeroth” expansion to millions of players when it releases tomorrow.
“There really are two worlds – one before World of Warcraft, and one after,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder, Penny Arcade and PAX. “I can’t wait to hear Ion Hazzikostas share some stories from the early days of WoW all the way up to the release of Battle for Azeroth.”
