Blizzard will be adding the entirety of the original Diablo campaign as add-on content in Diablo 3.
The campaign will be available as part of the Darkening of Tristram Anniversary patch. The patch includes Diablo’s original campaign, combined with the game’s original music, dungeons, and bosses, to help deliver the same nostalgic experience provided in 1996. Blizzard is even going as far to revert Diablo 3’s graphical settings to its original form, and by restricting character movement to eight directions, exactly like it shipped twenty years ago.
This patch will release as part of Blizzard’s weekly Public Test Realm updates, next week. These is no word on if the patch will released for the Xbox One and Playstation 3 at this time.
Diablo 3 is available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and PC.
