Lionsgate has announced that they will be producing a new movie based off the popular AAA title, Borderlands.
The new Borderlands movie will be produced by Avi Arad, who is responsible for producing many Marvel films including X-Men, Spiderman, Blade, Daredevil and Fantastic Four. He has since left Marvel to work on The Amazing Spiderman 2 and now plans to produce the new Borderlands movie with his son Ari.
While we don’t have any information regarding what the movie will focus on, Lionsgate Co-Chairs Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger told Variety.com “The ‘Borderlands’ games don’t pull any punches, and we’ll make the movie with the same in-your-face attitude that has made the series a blockbuster megaanchi-frse.”
