Developed by Studio Aesthesia and published by The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, Breakpoint is a twin-stick shooter that looks to push full-contact combat to the next level. The game has been recently announced to be releasing in Q3 2020 on the Nintendo Switch and Steam for PC.
Twin stick shooters may be a dime-a-dozen, but Breakpoint is an ambitious new indie title that focuses the chaos of combat and satisfaction of the player. The core gameplay features intense bobbing and weaving between enemies and intense melee combat to create a truly gratifying twin-stick shooter experience.
Breakpoint gives the player a full arsenal of weapons including axes, swords and hammers to annihilate up to twelve enemy classes. When the weapons break, it creates a massive explosion that destroys all enemies within the blast zone.
Breakpoint features a replay system that will allow player to watch the best runs in the world. This will help encourage players to make their mark on the global leaderboard, as well as compete with their friends for the highest spot. The game provides full support for mouse & keyboard and Nintendo Switch controllers, so that players may play comfortably with their preference.
A notable aspect about Breakpoint is that it is being published by The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, who has received global acclaim for earlier they titles they developed such as The Bridge and Tumblestone back in 2019.
Due to them having experience being an indie developer, they approach and collaborate with other indie devs looking to publish their games on PC and consoles in a fair way. This reassures that Breakpoint is in very good hands.
Things are looking bright for Breakpoint as we quickly approach the Q3 2020 release window, where it will release on Steam and Nintendo Switch for only $4.99. Make sure to check out Breakpoint’s Steam Page, the Studio Aesthesia’s website and Twitter as well as The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild website, Facebook and Twitter for more information and announcements for Breakpoint.
