A new trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was debuted by Sony at their E3 conference today, and the FPS action game set in space and aboard spaceships looks about a thousand times better than anyone thought a CoD game could ever look again.
There were explosions and set pieces, but they looked to flow between gameplay and cinematics naturally, and around all of them, the player was floating and fighting in zero gravity, breaching spaceship command decks and generally engaging in what appeared to be fun, inventive gameplay — I know, I never thought I’d say that about Call of Duty again either.
Of course, actual gameplay is king, so maybe wait a bit before swapping out the “Activision is Hindenburg” memes for the “EA is Titanic” macros.
Find out for yourself as late as November 4th, 2016, if there’s no new information before then, when it launches on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
