The director of God of War, Cory Barlog, is preparing his speech for the opening “Storytime” keynote at PAX South 2019.
Barlog, who has filled multiple roles throughout the God of War series’ development, will take the stage at next year’s PAX South. During the keynote, Cory will talk about his experience within the industry, presumably including his experience working with other studios such as LucasArts and Crystal Dynamics.
“Doing a sequel to a beloved game is a unique challenge, and so is rebooting a franchise for a modern audience – Cory Barlog has done both,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder, Penny Arcade. “We’re overjoyed to have him join us at PAX South. If I get the chance, I’m gonna tell him about this place I know in San Antonio where they make the guacamole with Orange Juice instead of Lime. It sounds crazy, but it works.”
The dude takes his passion very seriously, and that can be shown through the power of raw emotion shortly after the embargo for God of War (PS4) lifted. You can watch his heart-melting reaction video here.
PAX South takes place in San Antonio, Texas, from January 18th through January 20th
