Game developer Studio MDHR revealed that Cuphead would be delayed until the middle of next year.
This side-scrolling 2D platformer will not be released until next year to meet the team’s vision for the product. To avoid reducing their scope, Studio MDHR has decided to delay the game at least another six months.
“Throughout this year we discussed reducing the scope to make a 2016 release,” Studio MDHR stated in a blog post. “But we made the difficult decision to delay the launch in order to ship with our vision intact. We are happy to announce that Cuphead will be coming to Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam in Mid-2017.”
We had the opportunity to play the game at this year’s E3, and it left us wanting much more than what was provided in the demo. If the developer needs more time to develop a fantastic title, I’d say, give them all the time they require.
Cuphead arrives exclusively for Xbox One, Windows 10, and Steam mid-2017.
