Activision has revealed their future plans for Destiny, which involve a new sequel and a new expansion all within the next couple of years.
In this financial report, Activison detailed that we should see the sequel for Destiny launch sometime in 2017. According to IGN, a report came out last month stating that the game was originally slated to launch later this year; meaning that the game has now been pushed another year to make room for this new expansion.
According to the publisher, Activision will be working with Bungie to release a ‘Large new expansion’ in 2016 for Destiny. This expansion may be similar to the most recent expansion called The Taken King, with new quests, raids and gear to collect among your travels.
Destiny is currently available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
