Are you disappointed that your trip to Hell has been postponed for a few months? Did you have your BFG ready to go, only to discover that blowing up demon heads wouldn’t fill your free time any time soon?
Well, if you happen to be one of those people unhappy that Doom Eternal has been postponed until March 20, 2020 (for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC– the Nintendo Switch version will be coming at a later date) then Bethesda and id Software just made an announcement that may cheer you up. Doom 64 will be releasing on all four systems (again, the Nintendo Switch at a later date, although that date has yet to be announced) alongside Doom Eternal.
How can you you get your human-like hooves on this retro shooter? Luckily, there is no contract-signing involved, so you can keep your soul. It will be sold on its own, but it will also be a pre-order bonus for anyone who has put money down on Doom Eternal on any system. This works retroactively as well, so if you managed to pre-order your copy of Doom Eternal already, it will be automatically added to your purchase. You can view the announcement trailer below.
That won’t be the only goodies to be gained with a pre-order– those who do will also receive a Rip and Tear pack, which features the DOOT Revenant Skin, the Throwback Shotgun weapon skin, and the Cultist Base Master Level.
This is a great grab for those who may have missed one of the most popular shooters’ N64 debut, or for those who want to relive the 3D nostalgia. Basically, you get two Demon-Destruction games for the price of one!
