Did you watch Despicable Me only to find you relate more to Gru than the minions? When you watch superhero adaptations, do you find yourself sympathizing with the villain? If yes to either (or both), then prepare your plans for ascendancy.
Evil Genius 2: World Domination is developed by Rebellion, who took charge after Elixir Studios did the original in 2004. Unsurprisingly, players are tasked with creating and enacting their own plans for global control.
Do What Thou Wilt
The surprise is that the game will continue to release Evil Genius 2 content post-launch. First, there will be a Season Pass for sale; this will add a brand-new campaign. It will also feature a new playable genius, island lair and Force of Justice to work against.
If you aren’t sure about whether you want to purchase the pass, you’ll still get some stuff. A Photo Mode is being added free of charge. Here, you can try your artistic evil genius by playing with depth-of-field and other facets.
On top of that, if you purchase the Deluxe Edition for $59.99 (normal price is $39.99), there is more. Not only will you get the Season Pass One (more to come?), you’ll get the Fountain of Youth and Trojan Horse items, as well as the Aurora Borealis in-game bonus.
“Across other packs we’ll also introduce new henchmen, minion types, room types, traps, items, and more,” claims the newest blog post. All content will be released soon after the launch date of March. 30th, 2021 for PC.
You’ll once again have a chance to test your individual mettle against the world as a whole. Just don’t waste time explaining your entire plan before committing to it. That never works out.
