Bethesda has announced that the Mods Beta for the Playstation 4 version of Fallout 4 has been delayed.
Although there is no specific information on why the delay happened, it was previously known that Bethesda has been running into obstacles, such as the 900MB limit for mods on the Playstation 4; Less than the current Xbox One’s limit of 2.0GB.
The news comes from Bethesda’s official Twitter page which states “We regret to say that the PS4 Mods Beta for Fallout 4 has been delayed. We will update everyone when we can.”.
Xbox One owners were subjected to mod support in Fallout 4 last month. The feature was so successful that the modding scene saw 50 times the amount of interest than when the feature launched on the PC, showcasing an immense desire for console modding support. Since the feature launched on the Xbox One, other developers such as Studio Wildcards’ have added mod support to their games.
Fallout 4 is currently available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
