Bethesda has released some information regarding what the future of Fallout 4 will hold post-launch.
The biggest announcement starts with the Fallout 4 Season Pass. The pass will be available on launch date for $29.99 and will score you all downloadable content for Fallout 4’s lifespan. There weren’t many details announced regarding how much downloadable content will be offered through this Season Pass but we were promised it will be worth the value.
“Since we’re still hard at work on the game, we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year.” Bethesda posted on their blog, “Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you’ll get it all with the Season Pass.”
Mod support was also announced for the Playstation 4 – The same mod support announced for the Xbox One and PC during Microsoft’s Press Conference at E3 2015 this year. The Creation Kit will also launch early next year; A tool meant for assisting modders in customizing their gameplay experience for the PC.
It was also announced that free updates including not only bug fixes but new features will be available to anyone who owns a copy of Fallout 4. The blog mentions it’s previous updates that were free for Skyrim such as “mounted combat, legendary mode, kill cams, visual enhancements and more.”
Fallout 4 will launch on November 11th, 2015 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
