With advancements in the development of Final Fantasy XV being made every day, it’s beginning to look more and more like the gameplay style will see a shift from open world to a linear experience half way through the game in order to keep gameplay engaging.
Recently, the game’s director Hajime Tabata spoke with Famitsu (via Dualshockers) in regards to what players should expect to see in the new installment in the Final Fantasy series. Tabata says that Final Fantasy XV‘s first half of the game will be very similar to the demo in that it’s open world, while the second half will be “linear and story-driven”. With 15 chapters of gameplay, Final Fantasy XV is designed to keep the player’s interest at peak for the entirety of the experience.
Players can expect to see the 50 hour Final Fantasy experience on November 29th for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
