Will you raise your sword and Emblem Ring to defeat the Fell Dragon? Fire Emblem Engage, brought to us by Nintendo and Intelligent Systems, has been released worldwide on the Nintendo Switch!
The Fell Dragon’s seal has been weakened after being sealed for a millennium. Threatening forces hope to free the slumbering dragon to release chaos and ruin to the world of Elyos. The main character, Alear, will seek out the twelve Emblem Rings to halt the awakening of the Fell Dragon.
Fire Emblem Engage remains true to its core mechanics as a tactical role-playing game, with a returning weapon triangle mechanic that was absent in the previous title, Three Houses. Engage won’t be as much of a social sim as Three Houses. There will be plenty of Support Dialogue between the cast of characters you meet and recruit along your journey. Additionally, players can look forward to a free-roaming hub, a gacha mechanic for drawing and merging Bond Rings, amiibo support – giving players items and music tracks, and, best of all, a fishing mini-game.
Fire Emblem Engage will be the second entry on the Nintendo Switch for the Emblem series – not counting the spin-off title Fire Emblem Three Hopes. Will you be picking up Fire Emblem Engage today? Let us know!
