Virtual Reality (VR) has come a long way in recent years, and is continuing to innovate itself into mainstream gaming. Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds is the latest VR first person shooter, and it looks to offer a truly unique multiplayer experience that only VR games can.
Frostpoint VR: Proving Games is developed by InXile Entertainment & published by Thirdverse; and is a VR first-person shooter multiplayer game worthy of notice! This game features high-intensity 10v10 multiplayer matches that utilize the movement and tactility that only VR could provide.
A True VR Experience
Similar to most standard PvP multiplayer games, Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds splits players into 2 teams with 10 players each. Included are several game modes such as capturing objectives in Conquest or eliminating the enemy team in Team Deathmatch across 4 different maps!
The dynamic VR gameplay adds a ton of versatility with its combat; ton of different weapons that can be mixed & used in a variety of different ways. Players can approach combat as tactically as they choose; even dual wielding weapons or even a shield! There are also cool abilities such as bubble shields that can be applied!
The maps take place at a military base in Antarctica; which is important as has location hides deadly secret hidden within. As matches go on, a horrifying new threat of biomechanical abominations is released; and they have no preference what side your on. They put pressure on players to defend themselves while completing their objectives.
This creates an intense PvPvE experience that requires team work and tactical decision making to win. There may even be situations where enemy teams have to work together to defeat the common enemy. This unique dynamic is sure to create memorable & intense combat experiences that is unique to the VR platform!
