FINAL FANTASY is back, in yet another week of great game releases. As June keeps trudging along, we have several games to get excited for and one potential Game of the Year nominee. We get an Aliens tactical game, a Crash Bandicoot MOBA of sorts, and a bullet hell FPS. A narrative RPG game rounds out the list of releases in a fun quirky way.
June 20
Aliens: Dark Descent– PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
- This tactical game pits humanity against the deadliest creatures humans have encountered. Take charge of five different types of troopers to clear out large open levels. This outbreak is just getting started, do you have what it takes to stop it?
Crash Team Rumble– PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
- A four vs. four strategic platformer where you must capture the most Wumpa Fruit. Use each character’s unique skills and abilities to prevent your opponent from collecting their own fruit. There are ten characters to choose from each filling a particular role. Scorer, Defender, and Blocker, which one will you choose?

TREPANG2– PC
- Unleash hell on your enemies in this frantic FPS set in the distant future. After you are broken out of a black site, use your superhuman abilities to uncover your memories. Slow down time to dodge bullets, become invisible, or just break some necks as you mow down wave after wave of enemies.
June 22
The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales– PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
- This narrative adventure gives you the role of a former writer sentenced to thirty years of writer’s block. Traverse through multiple books as you steal artifacts to restore your creative freedom. Be careful though, each book has its own rules that you must abide by. In order to restore your creative freedom, what are you willing to give up?
Final Fantasy XVI– PlayStation 5
- It’s been seven years since the last Final Fantasy was released, so this is a welcome site. In a world divided into six nations, tensions have escalated due to a Blight that is consuming the land. You play as Clive in a revenge quest after witnessing his kingdom destroyed. Learn the secrets of the crystals and use Eikons to your advantage as you search for answers you may not want.
