During Microsoft’s Xbox Live Stream at Gamescom 2018, Bluehole Studios announced that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is coming out of early access for Xbox One on September 4th, 2018.
In the announcement video, the team acknowledged that the game had to overcome a lot of bugs and problems, but there is still more work to be done. While they believe there is still more work to be done on the game, the team decided to come out of early access with more content planned for the foreseeable future.
The full 1.0 release will include the all new Sanhok map, already available for the PC version of the game. The map is roughly half the size of PUBG’s Miramar and Erangel maps, which allows for more action and faster gameplay. Also included is the new War games mode which is a deathmatch game mode complete with respawns and a static blue zone.
