Developer and publisher miHoYo’s smash hit open-world RPG Genshin Impact is receiving its first major expansion! The new 2.0 update is titled “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia” and allows players to explore a whole new city.
The new nation of Inazuma will give players a glimpse into a different part of the ever-expanding world, with new characters and threats. This new content also comes with the much-requested quality of life features.
A Whole New Nation
The new nation of Inazuma is heavily inspired by Japanese culture and features recent locations, creatures and characters. Players will need to travel across the ocean to this new land ruled by Electro Archon; which is divided into six islands that allow players to explore the games’ profound lore further and solve more core mysteries.
New Faces
The new expansion also gives the player three new playable characters, each bringing their skills and personalities. These new characters all come with their backstories tying them to this new location; these include the daughter of a powerful clan, a fireworks obsessed archer and a tiny ninja.
However, not all these new faces are friendly, with several new bosses being added to challenge players. These new enemies are fierce and a great new addition to Genshin Impact!
Quality of Life
Another primary edition with this new large scale update is the ability for cross saves carry over to all devices, so your character can be used on all platforms, including mobile, PC and console.
On top of this, the patch is making use of the new performance power of the Xbox Series X|S And PlayStation 5, the latter of which will also be receiving updates making use of its patented haptic feedback.
More to come!
This is just a tiny glimpse of the vast continued support players can expect for Genshin Impact, and there are many more events planned with new locations and questlines not far behind them.
Genshin Impact’s latest update is launching on PC, PlayStation 4|5, the Xbox family of consoles and mobile devices. The new content will be available from the 21st Of July.
