Recently, a new Ghost Recon game in the Tom Clancy series titled Wildlands was revealed in a short trailer. We now have a new trailer and extensive game play from Ubisoft’s E3 conference.
Unlike its predecessor Advanced War, Wildlands follows a spec ops team fighting against a Spanish cartel. It’s a 3rd person shooter with a vast open world that gives you the freedom to complete your objective in multiple ways. In the middle of missions, you are able to join or invite your friends to tactically eliminate enemies.
Combat is similar to the Division in some ways, but it is more technical in its approach. You have multiple gadgets at your disposal, such as drones. Instead of being confined to 3rd person view, you are able to go into first person for precision shooting. It looks as though most of the environment is climbable and most vehicles usable: they showed off bikes, trucks, and helicopters during the conference.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will launch March 7th 2017 for all next gen consoles. Stay tuned for more Wildland and Ubisoft news.
